This is bound to be disappointing for those who bought a special edition of Infinite Warfare, but who have perhaps tired of the main game and would only like to keep the remastered around. In spite of Modern Warfare Remastered's status as a standalone title, those who accessed the game via Infinite Warfare will not be granted the freedom to play the game without its little brother. As it turns out, Legacy, Legacy Pro, Digital Legacy, and Digital Deluxe Edition purchasers of Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare who still want to access Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Remastered will need to keep their Infinite Warfare game disc or download in order to access the remaster.
